Application Process

ISV can apply for an AliExpress seller account for testing purpose. If you are a seller, please use your own account. Note: this account can only be used for testing purpose because we will add some limitation on it, for example, products cannot be searched, product detail page is blocked for real buyers, special control on product price/promotion. So if you want that it can be a normal seller to sell goods to real users, do not apply to change it to a test account.

1. Register a seller account at https://login.aliexpress.com/newseller.htm. No need to apply for any category/brand permission. To make sure we could identify it as a test account, please select Italy as the country, and put ‘[ISV Test Only]’ ahead of the company name field during the registration.

2. After you submit your registration, send us an email with the following info to us - AE open platform support (aeop-support@aliexpress.com).

Email subject should be “[Apply for developer test account] - XXX”. (XXX is your application name connected AliExpress open platform).

Note:

• The company name, application name must match the appkey (when you apply for an appkey, you should have a company name and application name), otherwise your request may be rejected.
• Do use the mail address which you registered for the test seller account to send request email and the email address should match the seller account id (when you register a seller account, you need to input one email address). Otherwise the request email may be rejected.

Please note: if your request mail doesn’t follow above subject/content format, the email may be ignored or rejected.

The test account review process will normally take 1~2 weeks, please be patient with us. Thank you.

Terms of Usage

The test account can only be used for test purpose, please follow below terms of usage. If violation to below terms impacts the real user’s experience or brings adverse impact to AliExpress, ISV should take full responsibility, including but not limited to AliExpress platform’s loss. In any case, the disputes to the test seller will be judged as seller’s full responsibility by AliExpress from, without any platform refund.

Account Management

• Can only be used by test account applicant (ISV). Please do not share the account name, password to others. Please change the password in time if there is any case that the password may be revealed, for example, employee resigns.
• Please do not leave message or send email to real buyer. You can create a buyer account to test these functions.

Data Isolation

• The test account could be shared by multiple ISVs. You can only operate products/orders/other data created by yourself. You are not allowed to change data created by other ISVs.

Product

• The product subject should contain disclaimers like “test only, not for sale”.
• The product information should not contain sensitive text/image including pornographic, political, religionary information.
• To avoid order from real buyer, please set product price to big amount (larger than 100,000 USD). If you want to test the order process, you can adjust the price for test order to a small number (for example 0.01) before payment.
• For product keywords, please do not use top search queries like nike, iphone, dress, etc.

Promotion

• To avoid order from real buyer, please do not create store promotions with big discount like 95% OFF.
