After creating your developer account, you can start registering your applicationon Aliexpress Open Platform.
Application category is used for initializing data configuration when the application is created. It is a template that defines the APP’s authorization strategy, authorization duration, API group permission, API call limit strategy and other information. An application can belong to only one application category.
Currently, Aliexpress Open Platform provides the following application categories:
Take the following steps to apply for the application category:
1. Log in Aliexpress Open Platform and open the APP Console.
2. Click the Create button, and the list of APP categories is displayed.
3. Read the description of the APP categories and click the Apply button of a category for your application.
4. Enter your business needs for applying the APP category in the Reason field of the Apply window.
5. (Optional) Attach a document file for the request as needed. The document can be the marketing analysis, business plan, or design of your application.
6. Click OK to submit the request.
The status of the application category is changed to Pending. The request of the application category will be reviewed and approved by the admin. If you cannot find a matching category for your application, contact the Aliexpress operations team to apply for a new category. Note that you can request to create only 1 application for a category.
Once the application category request is approved, the status of the application category is changed to Active. You can then submit detailed information about your application.
1. On the requested category page, click the Create App button.
2. Enter information about your application, including the application name, callback URL (the redirect URL used for seller authorization), and the application logo (Optional. If no logo file is provided, the default logo will be used).
3. Click the Submit button.
When the application is created successfully, click the APP Overview button to view the list of your applications, including the App name, App Key, App category, and status of each application.
